Reverend David C. Trosch July 8, 1994 Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger Your Eminence, The enclosed video tape, "Seeing is Believing" was hung on doorknobs of houses in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While many people undoubtedly threw them away, many others took the time to view them. They did, at least for a time, reduce the number of abortions in that city. The content of the tape is very striking and effective. The television format is that of the U.S.A. I am sending this in hopes you have an American format television. This and other American made anti-abortion films have been very effective in our war against abortion. I can send two or three other particularly good films if you are interested. Also enclosed are two publications favoring the position of "Justifiable Homicide". They are both the products of Protestant writers as was the person responsible for the distribution of the above mentioned video. Additionally enclosed is a copy of a response I mailed to Dr. James L. Holly, President of Mission and Ministry to Men, Inc. in regard to letter he mailed you on July 1, 1994. I hope it will be informative. Note: All of the above men, including Mr. Paul Hill of Pensacola, Florida--a former Presbyterian minister--are Protestant. They were unknown to me prior to my taking the public position I did last August. Except for the Rev. Joseph Foreman, responsible for the give away of "Seeing is Believing" --also known as, "The Hard Truth"-- they were all active in regard to the "JH" question months before I became publicly involved. I have conversed with and/or have met all of these people. They are all making a fine effort to do as they believe correct, including Dr. Holly who is a recently activated Christian. Again, if I can be of additional assistance in resolving this question please feel free to ask and I will do whatever I can to be of help. It is understandable that coming to grips with the most difficult fact of the full human reality of the preborn and their need for immediate protection is extremely hard. However the need for urgency in this regard must not be understated. May God be with you in your service to the Lord and His --our-- brothers and sisters. Sincerely in Christ, /s/ fr. David C. Trosch P.S. As of June 23, 1997 no one from Cardnal Ratzinger's office has ever contacted me. |
