Of Concern -
I appreciate the letters I receive from friends, supporters, prolife Christians of all sorts, and even from critics. I need to apologize in print for my failure to respond to all this correspondence as I would like. The truth is that my time is limited, and my finances are even more limited. I wish there were more Christian leaders speaking the same critically important truths I am speaking, but most of my readers will recognize that this is not the case. Very few prolifers, even those who consistently call abortion, "murder," are willing to act as though they truly believe what they say. I recognize that God may not call you to protect the unborn directly; he may not even call you to speak on behalf of those who do intervene. Yet even those who are not called to the front lines of the battle can play an important role, by giving of their time and money. Scripture teaches that we will give an account before God of how we spend our time and resources, both of which are given to each one of us by Him. I urge you to consult your conscience and see whether there is something more you could do on behalf of unborn children.

Reality Check -
God loves all life. But, God demands that the innocent be protected. The lives of the innocent are always to be given preference over the lives of the guilty, i.e., abortion providers and accomplices.

I earnestly seek to respond to all letters with particular statements or questions as soon as I am able. Please keep in mind however that I do respond on a basis of noted urgency.

The following is a response to a writer from Scotland who opposes direct defense of the unborn. He confesses that abortion is murder but denies just defense for the unborn:
1. Morality of Direct Defense -

Denial, i.e., close mindedness, of people at all levels of society and religion, probably coupled with a high degree of selfishness, is responsible for the continued public approval of the greatest crime of our century. Few people of religion or in pro-life work deny that abortion is murder -- though it seems some American catholic bishops are now abandoning this position in order to accommodate the pro-abortion element of society. But the word "murder" seems to have different meanings according to how one wants to apply the term. Correctly speaking murder is the deliberate killing of an innocent human being. In normal parlance and in a society of truth and justice it means the unlawful taking of human life. The problem is that few people seem to be able to distinguish the difference between just and unjust laws. Most people are just as willing to obey unjust laws as they are just ones. In opposition to God's will, most people are morally neutral.

Michael Griffin, who was convicted of killing Dr. David Gunn in Pensacola, Florida, has recently changed his long held belief which favored justifiable homicide. He has made reference to Romans 13 which refers to obedience to civil authorities. In my wildest dreams I can't imagine either Jesus or St. Paul ever meaning that we must be obedient to laws of unjust civil authority which permit the willful taking of innocent human life. If this were the case however, then similarly, without stretch of the imagination, the atrocities of Dr. Josef Mengele were justly allowed to continue by the German people who had knowledge of his horrendous activities and could have acted against him. Without the knowledge and practice of justice, no one is allowed to enter Heaven. This was strongly emphasized by Jesus in the Gospels.

2. Life Depends on the Free Will of the Mother -
Many believe that the death of an abortion provider does not necessarily accomplish the goal of defending the innocent, since the fate of the baby still lies largely with the free will of the mother!

If one were only to take into consideration the life of one particular baby the above statement might well be considered true. But what is sure is that the life of the particular baby was saved for at least that one day and probably for several days into the future. More importantly, the concern is not about the life of any one baby. The elimination of a known practicing killer, or accomplices, of hundreds if not thousands of innocent babies stops the deaths that day of 20 to 40 or more scheduled victims. The traumatic death of an abortion provider causes some of the mothers to have a permanent change of heart concerning their abortions. At least some of the innocent babies will be permanently spared the agony of a cruel death. Other mothers, upon hearing of what has occurred, will never make the decision to have their babies destroyed. It is very narrow minded to focus on the life of only one baby when the lives of so many are at stake both immediately and over a prolonged period of time.

3. Rescuers Prolong the Life of the Baby -
Rescuers are among those having a very difficult time of accepting the concept of justifiable homicide. Up to the time of the death of Dr. David Gunn they had gone the closest to the limit of what could be done to save babies from abortion. They convinced themselves, as did their pro-life predecessors, that theirs was the ultimate action which could be taken. They then locked their minds on this decision. They focused their energies and risked personal injury for the sake of the double effect of public display and the limited saving of lives. While their activities have saved hundreds, perhaps even into the thousands of lives, they will not accept that they could have been just as effective with public picketing without incurring legal expense, jail time, and fines. Rescuers are the ones who are responsible for the new FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) laws which were written to protect abortion murderer's -- morally speaking -- and accomplices. In the long term they are being proven to have been self-defeating. Rescuing, while it had valued temporary media impact, has proven itself not to be "the better way." For those who value the entire Word of God, the Old Testament gives the answer. Stop, by necessary means, publicly known major evils before they become evils of such great detriment to our relationship with God that He is forced to take drastic action in regard to human affairs. However, neither picketing nor rescuing solves the problem of the imminent death of over 4,000 innocent human beings each day.

4. The Importance of Justice -
When Jesus speaks of the importance of justice He is of course referring to justice in regard to all innocent human beings. NOTE: Civil law can never justify immoral actions. Imminent death of innocent human beings requires immediate action. Without immediate action innocent children will not be able to receive the justice which is their due. Within the past 22 years over 30 million people have been denied justice. Whether only 5 or 10 or 20 million would have been saved by immediate action in their defense is irrelevant. What is certain is that many of them would have been saved; more than enough to have warranted immediate action in their defense. More importantly those who were active only in token defense of the innocent, and, those who took no action at all, have great accountability to God. While the loss of innocent human life is extremely offensive to God, it should be kept in mind that Jesus gave His life for the salvation of souls. The value of a soul is of far greater importance to God than the comparatively simple loss of life. Each person who fails to take active interest in saving the lives of the preborn is in imminent danger of losing his soul. For each abortion provider whose life is temporarily and fruitlessly spared -- for the sake of his soul -- thousands of souls will be eternally damned for their failure to act. Keep in mind that no one will ever only get halfway into Heaven. Ultimately one either goes to Heaven or Hell. One is either with God or is against Him. There will be no middle ground on judgement day. Everyone must choose his relationship with God before judgement day. Note: Abortion providers have already made their choice. God can permit them to be called to account at any time. It is God who permits all occurrences to take place, including the suffering and death of His Son. The hope of receiving last minute mercy will, for most, be futile.

5. Abortionists Deserve the Opportunity for

REPENTANCE AND REPARATION? -

Another concern I often hear expressed is that a murderer's death renders him incapable of repentance and reparation. While it is agreed that the soul is of inestimable value, there are values of justice which cannot be set aside. Nowhere in Scripture is the life of an unjust person given preference, by just authority, to the life of a just person. The life and higher rights (values) of an innocent person always has priority over the guilty. The suffering and deaths of specified prophets, Jesus, and chosen saints were of highest order of service to mankind according to the will of God the Father, but, were not exceptions to this rule. Moses killed an Egyptian soldier who was injuring a slave. Ananias and his wife Sapphira were killed at the feet of St. Peter following his words of doom. They were not given the chance for repentance. Their sin? Giving only part of their freely given commitment to God. Some sins, for the sake of example and justice, call for immediate action. Others wait upon judgement day.

Incarceration -
Info source: "Prisoners of Christ" monthly list.
Laura Dunn is serving 90 days for trespass. Note: The trespass charge was for an attempted citizen's arrest of an illegally operating abortionist. That abortionist has since lost his license and the clinic was closed. Yet the trespass sentence was still imposed. Laura is a nursing mother with a four month old baby girl.

Cartoons: Available FREE -
The cartoon in the mailing label area is a half of one sample of an excellent series of pro-baby cartoons. The half not shown portrays a woman making the response, "Many people want to help you with food, housing, medical, etc. Look in the yellow pages under `ADOPTION'." A national pro-life group is looking for STUDENTS to help communicate these free pro-life messages. Students willing to distribute these should write to: Stop The Killing, Inc., PO Box 7725, Metairie, LA 70010. Please freely copy and distribute them.

XINNIS - The Confessions of a Clinic Bomber
A possible best selling, award winning novel of not less than the quality of writing produced by Earl Stanley Gardner. It has the impact and dynamic interest found in James Bond novels, of Ian Fleming fame, without the gross portrayal of sordid sexual encounters. While all of the above is occurring -- or not occurring, as the case may be -- highly emotional and sensitive real life love relationships are being portrayed that put common romance novels to shame. It has movie making potential that should interest a director of the quality of Steven Spielberg. To put it simply, during the proof readings I made prior to the final edition, I found it to be of spellbinding interest.

Xinnis (pronounced Innis) is a story which revolves around people caught in the agony of purchased abortion and the consequences of the evils produced by these immoral purchases. It is the story of people who become concerned about justice and their efforts to return the sanity of justice to the world. It's a struggle of sinners who turn their lives to serving God. It is a sound Christian novel which self-righteous Christians will abhor. It reaches a climax through an experience of faith while evil is being desperately opposed.

1st Amendment Law Suit -

No More Freedom of Religion
No More Freedom of Speech

Following the granting of a Temporary Restraining Order for myself and others as reported in last month's newsletter, we are additionally being sued under FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act), in Federal Court, for compensatory and punitive damages as well as for the costs of the suit and reasonable fees for attorneys and expert witnesses, for damages the plaintiffs have sustained or are sustaining arising from the defendant's violations of 18 U.S.C. S248 as alleged elsewhere in complaint. We are also being sued for damages, the plaintiffs have sustained and are sustaining, etc. under Ala. Code SS-6-5-120 through 6-5-125 and the common law.

Plaintiff Bruce Lucero, M.D., states he is a doctor who provides reproductive health services, which include abortion. Here I am sure he does not mean to imply that his services are healthy for the innocent human beings he is (morally speaking) murdering. His complaint in my regard is that I have traveled all over the country, including the Birmingham, Alabama area (where he has his facility), "where he (me) has threatened and continues to threaten anyone who provides or seeks to obtain reproductive health services, with death or what he calls `justifiable homicide', and has personally threatened to kill Dr. Lucero himself." (- Untrue -)

Other than being on the Geraldo show with him and six others in early October of 1994--he sat next to me--I have never to my knowledge been near him, his facility, his house, or anyone associated with him in any way. While I do believe that he and all other practicing abortionists for hire should be executed under just law, and, further believe that should an abortion provider be injured or killed in any war zone, de facto if not de jure established by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973, it would be a justifiably moral act. (Note: His lawsuit declares the need for a "demilitarized zone." In making this statement he acknowledges his agreement with the above de facto statement.) I further believe that any soldier of God who might be immorally captured because of such act should be set free as he would have been morally acting in just defense of the unborn, i.e., saving the lives of innocent human persons.

My religious beliefs are protected by the amendment of the U.S. Constitution, Article 1. Further, my public statements in regard to such beliefs are also protected by this same amendment. At no time have I directed any particular or personal animosity toward any abortion practitioner. Any statements I have made were always intended to be general in nature in order to emphasize my religious, Scriptural, and Catholic Church supported beliefs. These beliefs are in regard to the great moral evil of purchased abortion. Such purchases have already claimed millions of lives of full human beings in an early defenseless stage of human development. Amendment Article 1 states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

It should be further noted that I have long been publishing my faith beliefs. These speech statements have further been presented by the public media and press. The Geraldo show, other radio and television presentations, newspapers and magazines are all a part of the news press. He is therefore also suing me against the same aforementioned article of the Constitution which guarantees the freedom of the press.

Ode of Unwanted Babies

We were a sea of babies as far as the eye could see, all crying "save us."
Save us from our mommies that don't seem to care.
But, all washed their hands of us even as we cried,
"Please care enough to hear our plea, and keep us safe from harm."

We never got to know our mommies or what they were like.
No one cared enough for us the day our sentence was carried out.
Our destiny is still unknown. We did not have the chance in life
to get to know, love and serve our Creator.

We are yet not happy and safe in Jesus' arms.
Our mommies still cry for us as they come to understand we cannot be replaced.
Each one of us was unique and special.
Our human gifts will remain unused and forever without value.

We are the babies you never knew. If you took us all and put us together,
you would see a sea of babies as far as the eye could see.
We've never seen the light of day. Momentarily we were in darkness.
Then, hastily called from life, we died in darkness too.

We are now trying to serve Jesus and His Father in a strange and different way.
But, there is one special thing we must do.
We must learn to forgive each of you who failed to respond to our pleas.
This for us is very difficult. You did so little to defend us in any way.

We ask you to please give our brothers and sisters,
who still are with you, an opportunity to pray for us.
Perhaps then, and only then, we will no longer desire
to hold our useless deaths against you.

Salvation, the mercy of Jesus, can only be received by those
who know, love, and serve God.
