A few months back a beautiful baby boy was left dead in a toilet in Hempstead. Lately, an infant was found dead in the trash in Oceanside, and another dead baby was discovered by a landscaper cleaning a property on Willis Avenue in Albertson. Also, a recent New York Times item told of a worker coming across a baby in a city sewage disposal plant. When the supervisor was interviewed, he said many are found that way, evidently having traveled through the sewer system. My dear friend, we are living in a POISONED SOCIETY, a community in the GRIP OF THE DEVIL. Following on the murder of the Willis Ave. newborn, a local newspaper reported, "Crime Stoppers and the Nassau Police are requesting the public's help to solve the crime, offering $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the guilty." INFORMATION LEADING TO THE GUILTY Our community needs help to solve the slaughter of the innocent. The solution is a conversion to Jesus Christ, Who Alone has the strength to break the grip of the devil. We stand vigil in prayer at the abortion mill where "Dr." Gardstein works mayhem on mothers and babies. This killer does not make the papers as murderer, but the news did report his losing a $2,200,000.00 damage suit brought by maimed mothers. But, is Gardstein alone guilty? Does our search end with him? No, our people need more information leading to the guilty. Pope Leo XIII wrote, "He who sees tremendous evil, and does nothing about it, is as guilty as the perpetrator." The triumph of evil needs only the silence of good men. Bishops and pastors who dissipate faith and love for Jesus Christ are agents ultimately guilty of poisoning the community. Jesus Christ set the standard. We are to love other human beings, "as I have loved you". And He delivered Himself up for us. When pastors adore their Master, Jesus Christ, listening to the Holy Spirit sent by Christ to "convince the world of sin," our people know what is sin, and fight to save lives. When last did you hear a priest preach about the sin of abortion? Or ANY serious sin? The killing of innocent babies is directly related to the loss of faith and rejection of Jesus Christ, the Author of Life. Faith comes through hearing. But, the salt of the earth, clergy and bishops, to use the words of St. Gregory the Great, "are dumb dogs, unable to bark." The salt has lost its savor and is worth nothing. Clergy don't preach Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. Worthless salt, Our Lord tells us, "is good for nothing but to be cast out and trampled underfoot. Msgr. Lisante, groomed as episcopal timbre, reflected the insipid view of most clergy and his mentor, Bishop McGann, when quoted recently in Newsday, saying in effect, `Whether we like it or not, abortion is here to stay.' That tells us a lot. Here is information toward solving the heinous crimes of babies found in the streets and toilets of Nassau County. "Good" men, who are called to be the light of the world, the salt of the earth, have thrown in the towel. ROMAN CATHOLIC TRADITION Once upon a time, the Catholic Church set a high standard. There was a supreme duty upon each one to protect human life, to sacrifice even our own lives, to defend innocent babies. When we were kids in the Catholic school, the sisters had the money cans with the infant girl from China on the wrapper. All of us put our spare pennies in the can to save this poor baby from abandonment and death. That baby girl's picture in Our Holy Redeemer School classroom stuck in my mind. WE'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING! When you page through the book that lists all the Congressional Medal of Honor winners in the history of the U.S. Armed Forces, you find it reads like a Catholic parish directory. Irish names, Italian, Polish, German, Slovak, . . . nearly every winner a Catholic boy, who learned his faith from parents, nuns, and priests, using the Baltimore Catechism. The Medal Book describes the Spirit that powered these heroes to despise fear of death from enemy fire in order to save their comrades. This is the same Spirit Who was engrafted on their souls by training in faith, and by constant reception of the Sacramental Life in the Catholic Church. I know two of them personally, men whose zeal drove them to count no loss too great to save others. Navy Chaplain Fr. Vin Cappodonno was killed during his heroic efforts. Army Chaplain Fr. Liteky survived multiple wounds, which he hardly noticed during the heat of his magnificent exertion to save lives. (By the way, this book gives the lie to Cardinal Cassidy's recent apology for the cowardice of Catholics in reference to Jews during the war. If Cassidy is correct, then the Holy Spirit deserted the Church. Which means Cassidy is wrong.) But, our modern 1998 pastors and bishops in Nassau County blithely sit by while poisonous abandonment of Jesus Christ in teaching and practice ultimately results in baby girls found dead on our streets. There are no tin cans with their photos on them. Nassau County is as bad as China. We won't read about heroic exploits by our local clergy in the Medal of Honor Book. THE GUILTY POISON THE FLOCK Bishop McGann consistently celebrates unsavory impostors who poison the community like #1., Msgr. John Martin teaching, "Christ did NOT know He was God. Our Lord did NOT intend to found a Church. The Resurrection is NOT historical fact." Pope St. Pius X condemned these teachings as destructive of faith in the God-Man Jesus Christ. Is it any wonder our kids know nothing of Catholic Faith? These heretics do tremendous damage. Bp. McGann admits #2., Fr. Robert Drinan, "S.J." here as honoree for an award in "Human Rights" at St. Joseph College. Fr. Drinan is the biggest offender AGAINST human rights. He wrote an oped piece in the N. Y. Times approving dismemberment of the innocent by partial-birth abortion! Cardinal O'Connor had to write an editorial pronouncing Drinan wrong. Fr. Drinan was told by the Jesuit General not to run for Congress. After his election, the General told him not to run for re-election. He ran again five times over repeated objections from his General Superior. While a Congressman, Fr. Drinan voted consistently in favor of the murder of innocent babies. Scandalous, you say? Where were all the Catholics in Boston who elected him time and again from 1970 to 1981? Where was Cardinal Cushing, Archbishop Medeiros, the bishop of Worcester, Mass., and all the pastors and bishops up there? THEY ARE A GREATER SCANDAL THAN THE PERSON OF FR. DRINAN. So also the murdered babies found in our streets are witness more to the scandalous silence of clergy and Catholics than the personal sin of the abandoning mother. The desertion of the babies by Catholic clergy in Boston makes one wonder why Cardinal Cassidy did not cite that betrayal to make his apology. He could have documented his case more accurately, and corrected the present instead of the murky past. But the babies are easy to forget. You cannot see them. The Jews are not easy to forget. We suffered from poison-pedlar #3., Professor Dan Maguire, invited to spew in Bishop McGann's backyard at Molloy College. Maguire's advocacy of abortion contributes to a mind set which results in babies found dead in our streets and toilets. Then there is #4., Father Jim Nunes who rejects any mention of Jesus Christ in the multimillion dollar AIDS programs he directs for our Diocese. This "priest" was prevented from offering Mass in Our Holy Redeemer Church because of his sacrilegious conduct during the Holy Sacrifice. Bishop McGann portrays Fr. Nunes as a praiseworthy model on the front page of his Diocesan paper, whereas the man betrays both Jesus Christ and his AIDS patients in denying Christ. Do you wonder why we find babies murdered in the streets? Bishop McGann's handpicked #5., "Sister" O'Brien slips the porno Benziger sex-ed curriculum in upon our innocent children in the Catholic schools. In our "Battle Against Sex-Ed" Conference last week, Mrs. Judy Ammenheuser of Mother's Watch in Maryland pointed out how the Benziger program desensitizes children, renders the child uneducable, destroys the ability for compassion, and leads to barbaric violence! Mrs. Ammenheuser drew from psychoanalyst Dr. Melvin Anchell's research, citing the Jonesboro, Arkansas boys' lack of compassion for victims of their savage shootings. If you missed her, we plan another seminar in the Fall. After a dozen postponements, my trial on the phony trespassing and harassment charges is due May 21st, Ascension Thursday. Please pray for me.
