1 Corinthians 11:27-28

      Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily
      will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should
      examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup.

1 Corinthians 11:29

      For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body,
      eats and drinks judgment on himself. [NAB]

      For all who eat and drink without discerning the body,
      eat and drink judgment against themselves. [NRSV]

      For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation
      to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. [KJB]

      because a person who eats and drinks without recognising the body
      is eating and drinking his own condemnation. [NJB]

1 Corinthians 11:30

      That is why many among you are ill and infirm,
      and a considerable number are dying.

EXAMINE HIMSELF - What Then?

John 20:22-23

And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,
"Receive the holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained."
