Approximately fifty years ago in Germany, two German students --Sophie and Hans Scholl, sister and brother-- distributed leaflets on their college campus:
"18 February 1943 dawned sunny and bright. Hans and Sophie left for campus carrying new leaflets in a bag. A few minutes afterward a friend came with a warning. He was too late. They arrived on campus a few minutes before classes let out. They scattered leaflets up and down the halls and climbed the stairs to drop the rest into the entrance hall. But the building superintendent saw them, locked the doors, and called the Gestapo. They were arrested and taken to Wittelsbach Palace, a Gestapo prison. . .

ON THE SCHOOL SIDEWALKS.
The original Pill of the 1960's had to be modified due to side effects. Many versions of today's Combination Pill have a reduced hormonal content, increasing the chance of fertilization. Simply missing one tablet or failing to take the Pill at the same time each day increases the chances of breakthrough ovulation.
Reactions with other drugs also increase the chances of breakthrough ovulation, especially with caffeine and nicotine.
Makers of the new 'MiniÄPill' claim it does not have the Combination Pill's side effects. But they don't tell you that scientific research shows that the Mini-Pill does not stop ovulation at all in 67-81% of the women who use it, so the probability of conception is much higher.
Estimates of breakthrough ovulation for the Pill's cousins are also very high:

Norplant: 50-65% of the time
Depo-Provera: 40-60% of the time
IUD: 100% of the time
Estimates show that these so-called birth control products kill about TEN MILLION newly conceived children in the USA every year. This is equivalent to the total populations of Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota!
