"do you realize how overpopulated the world would be?" Email: Below is the result of your feedback form submitted name: Linsey C. zip: 63501 Regarding 1st Graphic on Web Page Dropdownmenu: Atheist, Under 25 years old, Object to content Comments or Requests: so i noticed that you are basically against concraception in general. you think women should have babies and just spread them out. if the world had all the babies that went unborn just do to contraception do you realize how overpopulated the world would be. and furthermore some people already live in such poverty it is highly unlikly that those children would not have the nice happy life that "God" would want. A little note for you from me as a soon to be LPN you can become pregnant while breast feeding and you cant just say "women who breast feed their small children are naturally infertile, you send a message that they cant become pregnant which is so far from the truth. I suggust you do some research before you give medical advice on infertility. RESPONSE:
One who dies as an atheist will spend eternity either in Hell or, from his or her perspective, oblivion. Does an atheist truly just want to cease to exist? Why the bother then to remain in this life? Of course suicide is a quick ticket to the fires of Hell. Sodomy, which includes essentially all forms of birth control practices (both artificial and natural), with the exception of breast feeding which normally but not always acts as means of spacing out births, is against the most heinous offenses that can be committed against the creative intent of the true God. His first command to intelligent beings was, "be fertile and multiply." The Noah event was a reaction to the immoral acts of the people of that time period. Sodom and the surrounding area was destroyed because of infertile acts taking place among the citizens. The Greek empire came to ruin due to immoral man-boy relationships. The Romans practiced various forms of birth control. How soon great destruction will come upon today's society is an unknown, but is probably not too far in the future. Is it to late to avert this great destruction? The people of Nineveh repented when told of their pending doom. What will the citizens of today do to avoid catastrophe? Along with many other believers I personally believe in a Heaven and a Hell. Those who have a faith in practice, a true love of God with a real desire for eternal happiness, would prefer to die in a most horrible fashion rather than spend eternity in Hell. Everyone has equal opportunity to believe in God and accept His perfect will for us. No one has advantage over another in relation to being equal in God's sight for eternity. It is recognized that an atheist does not believe in God, Heaven, or Hell. However one's belief in or lack thereof does not change the reality of what occurs following death. For an atheist it just means the end of existence. Eventually everyone's body ceases to live and returns to the elements from which it came. It should matter little to an atheist just how long one exists in this life for they must believe that they will have no memory retained of anything either good or bad that has occurred to him or her. Someone else's memory of them at best is temporary and meaningless to the dead body unless there is an intelligence (spirit) that remains (lower animals have temporary memories and reactions relating to existence but no sense of creation and therefore do cease to exist). For an atheist there is no enduring purpose or goal in regard to this life since for such a person in the end there is no existence to have a memory of or benefit regarding this temporal existence. Our happiness in this life is not God's goal, sharing eternal life with Him is His purpose for creating intellectual beings. Those who live without trials and tribulations commonly have no interest in anything beyond their present well being. Personally I have always accepted that there are many habitable planets in the universe and science is more and more affirming this as fact. Science is exponentially growing. To a rational person this is undeniable. The pressures of population growth has always been the motivating factor in the seeking out of new frontiers. Science is the stepping stone required for acquiring new habitat in the universe for an ever expanding population intended to be happy with God eternally. Regarding the concern relating to breast feeding the quote was taken out of context. Natural spacing does normally occur but does not always take place. As with every other gift, or lack thereof, how we react to a condition of life may be the ultimate determining factor relating to our long term relationship with God.
