Reality versus Fantasy

"For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers and will stop listening to the truth and be diverted to myths." (2 Tim 4:3)

"And even though our gospel is veiled, it is veiled for those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they may not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Cor. 4:3-4)

"Rather, their thoughts were rendered dull, for to this present day the same veil remains unlifted when they read the old covenant, because through Christ it is taken away. To this day, in fact, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their hearts, but whenever a person turns to the Lord the veil is removed." (2 Cor. 3:14-16)

Jesus himself did not expect to get through life without trials, suffering and death.
Yet today so many expect to do exactly that.
They want to get through life without having trials,
without the suffering of training and discipline.
They look endlessly for ways to prolong life
as they do not believe in eternal life.

Sinners do not want to hear truth.
If they should be made aware of truth they go into a denial phase.
They reject truths presented.

Everyone is to show concern for another's possessions. (Dt. 22:1-4)
How much more concern should Church and society show for human life in the womb?

Purge (by execution) the stain of shedding innocent blood.
Do not look upon the one to be executed with pity. (Dt. 19:12-13)

"Say not: 'Great is his mercy: my many sins he will forgive.' For mercy and anger alike are with him; upon the wicked alights his wrath. Delay not your conversion to the Lord, put it not off from day to day; For suddenly his wrath comes forth; at the time of vengeance, you will be destroyed." (Sir 5:6-9)

There is a common but erroneous belief that bad people will eventually, of their own accord, become good. There are other beliefs that profess there is no Hell, or that if it does exist only fallen angels are sent there.

The concept that people must work and even fight,
when necessary,
for peace and justice has been lost.

Leviticus 19:16 You shall not... stand by idly when your neighbor's life is at stake. I am the LORD.

Better to be at war with men than in disfavor with almighty God.

Better to die at war with man than to be at peace with Satan.

Christians have been misguided into believing that justice and peace can be achieved through peaceful means without conflict, without civil disturbance of any kind. The sense that one bad apple can spoil the whole barrel has been lost. Bad apples must be excised.

Too many for too long have stood back and not taken a position in faith.
A position which could bring reward in eternal life.
