They have and continue to violate the basic document of protection for citizens and other residents in the United States. The Constitution states that citizenship begins at birth but in no way denies that a person exists following conception who is entitled to full protection under the law. Citizenship and personhood are two entirely different concepts. The place or type of residence of a person in the United States is irrelevant when it comes to the question of rights under the law for all persons. A human being in the womb is just as much of a person as an immigrant, tourist, or resident alien.
