In the Gospels Jesus states that the doctrines of God the Father established in the Old Testament will not be diminished or done away with. Except for a limited number of changes, primarily in regard to sacrifice and offerings Jesus Himself would make, the commands of God the Father were only to be expanded and explained as per His example. [Mt. 5]  God the Father and His Son have only set good example.
       Anyone under any circumstance who does anything other than expand or explain the Word of God is of Satan. Anyone who diminishes or reverses the teachings of either God the Father or God the Son is not of God and should be held in contempt regardless of the worthiness of the office they hold.

Automatic Excommunication takes place upon the commission of one of the following acts:
• Desecration of the Holy Eucharist - Can. 1367
  
  This should be thought of as including the giving of Holy Communion to any publicly known grave sinner regardless of position of authority.
• Heresy – rejection of a formal Church teaching - Can. 1364
  
  This would include opposition to any doctrine of God or His Church as found in Sacred Scripture from Genesis to Revelation and all Universal teachings on faith and morals issued by or with the official approval of the Office of Peter.
• Schism – separation from the authority of the Office of Peter - Can. 1364
• Abortion – One who actually procures an abortion – Can. 1398
  
  and all accomplices – Can. 1329 §2

Pope John Paul II is traveling the Road to Perdition (Hell). His sins of omission are destructive to the faith. He should resign. His activities are destroying the souls of millions.

(It could be conceded that expulsion from the papacy would take place when an
authoritative group in the Church – such as the College of Cardinals – publicly
finds a pope guilty of a crime that calls for automatic excommunication.)

Archbishop Lipscomb's Best Position - The hierarchy of the Church has become a hindrance to faith.  Instead of affirming the teachings of faith, they have progressively destabilize them.
