“The smoke of Satan has entered the Church.” (Pope Paul VI).
“Let no one deceive you in any way, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first” (2 Thess.2.3).
Vatican II opened the door to discussions with non-Christian religions and prayerful ecumenical discussions with Protestants and the Orthodox. But it never called for any dialogue, discussion, or debate within the Catholic Church! In fact The Dogmatic Constitution on the Church No.25 called upon the bishops to “ward off whatever errors threaten their flock”. No true ecumenism can ever take place if division is allowed within the Church Herself. When many bishops and priests are dissenters and allow heretical theologians free access to their flocks, ecumenism has become a joke. Don’t believe it? Try to name one instance where either the Protestants or the Orthodox have made a single concession or compromise on any point of Catholic doctrine in the last 30 years.
Since Christ himself prayed for the unity of the Church (John 17) and the Pope is the Vicar of Christ, any openness to opposing viewpoints that challenge official Catholic teaching is “the smoke of’ Satan”. Bishops, priests, religious, or lay people who allow dissents are not ‘moderates’ but instruments (perhaps unwitting) of the devil. Protestants must laugh at traditional Catholics as we attempt ‘dialogue’ knowing full well that a great many of our own priests and bishops don’t accept the fullness of Catholic teaching.
Living in the advent of the neo-pagan, anti-Christ, new world order, it is becoming clear that the most real and damaging enemies of Christ are
within the Church! And as in any conflict, the best strategy is to infiltrate, divide, and conquer. The Bible points out that there are two forces at work in the world, eventually to be lodged in two separate spheres - Heaven and Hell. St. Augustine describes these realms as “The City of God” and the “City of Man”. The city that seeks the glory of God and the city that seeks the glory of Man are diametrically opposed. Instead of seeking converts to the City of God, dissenting bishops and heretical theologians attempt to integrate one with the other, and the first casualty is Catholic truth. How does “dialogue” fit in with “A house divided cannot stand?” (Matt. 12.25).
Satan’s favorite line since the Garden has been, “Can we talk?” And his two favorite subjects are morality and papal authority. Satan must undermine and destroy these two things within the Church to bring about the advent of Antichrist. Since immorality and sexual license is Satan’s greatest carrot to dangle in front of Mankind, traditional Christian morality is his greatest obstacle. And since the traditional Roman Catholic Church without question has the highest moral ideals in the area of sexuality, these teachings are abhorrent to the forces of evil. Traditional Catholic teachings on the permanency of marriage, condemnation of contraception, homosexual practice, fornication, adultery, masturbation, divorce and remarriage, and abortion are anathema to selfish humans.
Is it any coincidence then that these are the very things the modernists want to dialogue about? Is it any coincidence that these were the things Cardinal Bernardin always sought common ground on? It would seem that common ground on mortal sin was his forte.
In addition, the undermining of Papal Authority is critical to Satan’s plan. As long as the Pope is recognized as the Vicar of Christ, the new world order is hindered (2 Thess.2.7). The modernists must convince the world that the Pope is a figurehead with no binding authority and that each man must decide for himself what is truth. Into the resulting spiritual anarchy and moral vacuum will step the Antichrist.
In the recent pastoral released by a group of bishops,
Always Our Children we once again see the betrayal of Christ by those called to be his shepherds. Parents are encouraged to take a “wait and see attitude toward their children experimenting with homosexual behavior”. Instead of holding forth the noble ideals of chastity, sacrifice, and virtue; we are now told to be patient with our children as they engage in deviant sexual behavior. Judases! Many studies have shown that a passive father and a domineering mother increase the chances of a child embracing a homosexual lifestyle. Many parts of the Church mirror just such an environment: passive father figures (bishops and priests) and radical feminist domineering women religious and theologians. Is it any wonder then that the offspring of this atmosphere is a deviant and perverted Catholicism?
“The time is sure to come when, far from being content with sound teaching, people will be avid for the latest novelty and collect for themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes” (2 Timothy. 4. 3).
That time has arrived, and is the reason why pseudo-theologians (like Richard McBrien) who explain away and dilute God’s moral law are so popular. I see homilists do this quite often.
In order to make people more comfortable (with sin, I suppose), they take the powerful words of Jesus Christ in the readings, and spend twenty minutes either making them into some lofty ideal which places no demand on us, or avoiding them all together. So Jesus’ warnings like “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another, commits adultery” as well as his warnings of the last days and his second coming, are either turned into pious reflections, or twisted into contortions in pursuit of some modern day “relevance.” Likewise, sins condemned by the church such as homosexual practice (male and female), fornication, divorce, and contraception are scrupulously avoided. “Well Jesus said this. . . But he really meant this. . .”
Eschatology is non-existent in most pulpits. Just as Protestants explain away clear scripture about the Eucharist, Mary, and the Papacy to suit their own tastes, so
many of our pastors explain away scriptures lest anyone feel uncomfortable. In fact, the only sin regularly condemned by today’s preachers are the “sins” of being intolerant or judgmental (this means disagreeing with them).
The only difference between saints and other people is that saints accept scripture at face value and obey it, rather than look for loopholes. Human beings are not animals. We are made in the image of God. We are capable of extreme virtue and holiness. In this age of wickedness, betrayal and moral cowardice we must not participate in any “dialogue” on moral truth or Papal authority. We must exhort our pastors to refute falsehoods, correct error, call their flocks to obedience, and resist the tide of’ world opinion. (2 Timothy. 4. 2.)
May the Peace of our God the Lord Jesus Christ and the prayers of Our Dear Blessed Mother Mary be with you always,
