Christian Unity
Harmony with God
Truth and Justice
World Peace

As he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, saying,
"If this day you only knew what makes for peace -
but now it is hidden from your eyes.
[Luke 19:41-42]

World Justice and Peace
not possible without
a MORAL Pope

There has not been a moral pope in office for at least fifty years !
(opinion - 2007 A.D.).

Submission to a pope or a bishop ceases when the office holder commits a sin
qualifying him for automatic excommunication. However, allegiance to
the papal office and to the office of bishop must be maintained.
Some cardinals under automatic excommunication prior to election as pope.

(Jesus) said to them again, "Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
[John 20:21]

For most it seems that peace and love will reach their pinnacle with the establishment of world wealth.  Few are any longer concerned with the truth and justice that leads to real peace.  Few have more than a superficial love of God.

  • Can a few make the difference?
  • Can a few accomplish much in the face of over-whelming odds?
  • What can be done?
  • How can it be accomplished?
  • Can a basis for unity be established or be made productive?

Believers say that Jesus is the source of unity, but Jesus was put to death, has arisen, and has ascended into Heaven.  He will not return in majesty (in direct authority) until the day of judgement.  Who will lead us, or, how are we to be led in the interim?

"Jesus said, "The Advocate, the holy Ghost that the Father will send in my name-he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you."" [John 14:26]

Many, seemingly sincere believers, today claim that the Holy Ghost talks with them and gives them instructions.  In some circumstances this may be true, but when there is a divergence of beliefs in faith which claim the Holy Ghost as their source, then it must be recognized that Jesus must have established a method wherein people of true faith can be certain that on matters of faith and morals it is the Holy Ghost who is the source and not someone's fantasy or self-delusion.  Neither the Holy Ghost nor any other member of the Holy Trinity is incongruous.  God cannot be a multiplicity of opposing truths.  God is one (in perfect agreement and harmony).

How then does the Holy Ghost teach in a manner that can be universally recognized as a guided and protected source of truth? Jesus Himself gave us the answer in the following passage:

"Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.  For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.  And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.  I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.  Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." [Matthew 16:16-19]

NOTE:  Simon son of Jonah had been designated as "rock" early on by Jesus in the following
passage: - "Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon the son of John; you
will be called Kephas" (which is translated Peter).
" [John 1:42]

"The keys to the kingdom of heaven," could and perhaps should be thought of as truth and its proper development.  The need for reinforcement of basic truths and for spiritual growth are confirmed in the following passages: -

"I fed you milk, not solid food, because you were unable to take it.  Indeed, you are still not able, even now," [1 Cor. 3:2]

"Although you should be teachers by this time, you need to have someone teach you again the basic elements of the utterances of God.  You need milk, (and) not solid food.  Everyone who lives on milk lacks experience of the word of righteousness, for he is a child." [Hebrews 5:12-13]

"like newborn infants, long for pure spiritual milk so that through it you may grow into salvation," [1 Peter 2:2]

Jesus guaranteed a single source of truth, protected by the power of the Holy Ghost, with the words, - "Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." With these words Jesus was not stating that the person of Simon was perfect or in any sense was personally infallible.  Keep in mind that Jesus' primary mission and concerns were focused on spiritual / eternal values.  When referring to earth Jesus was referencing the whole of creation that then and in the future would have intelligent life, i.e. universality.

When combining the above quotations it should become apparent that Jesus was stating that when universal statements, of spiritual value (faith and morals), were being made by rock (referring to a stable or permanent office occupied by a moral male – not an infiltrator or an automatically excommunicated man) they were guaranteed by the infallible power of the Holy Ghost and were not subject to the frailties of the man filling the office.

Spiritual truths are not subject to or limited by the personal knowledge or wisdom of any man.  Declarations made by the office of rock, held by a morally ordained and consecrated pope, are of the Holy Ghost.  No true pope will ever attempt to diminish or reverse a teaching of Sacred Scripture or that of a prior moral pope.  The valid teachings of God are to be universally applied and are not subject to the variates of time or the supposed advancement of society or science (new understandings taken out of the context of real faith in God).

There have been claims of contradictions and of errors in Church teachings.
To what degree might these claims be considered valid?

When a proper separation has been made between the two offices given to Simon bar Jonah and to Rock (temporal leadership and spiritual teachings), and an understanding has been developed to place various levels of teachings and various levels of human authorities into perspective, then there will be a solid ground work laid for just order and God's truth.
Over the span of almost two thousand years there has been much dispute, often based upon human cravings for power or prestige, in regard to Church leadership and authority.

It can only be expected that this seemingly common difficulty still exists.  Is there a solution?

Yes, but first it will require those who claim to be of sincere faith to join together in an effective unit to bring about change based upon a realistic presentation of order.  If people of faith do not do so then it can be expected that the hand of God will strike and much destruction will take place in order to bring about what is necessary for universal spiritual growth that will bring unity among the people wanting to serve God according to His divine will.
Two principle documents have been developed as a starting point for unity with full harmony.  They have the potential for bringing about change within the framework of God's divine Will.  These documents should be carefully examined with an open mind for their potential to develop unity and harmony of faith worldwide.  They are not presented as being perfect and can certainly be further developed.  Everyone who is interested in a unified Church, and that certainly must be the will of God, should investigate them.  Through a correct understanding and development of these documents unity and evangelization of those with inadequate or no knowledge of Christian truths can be achieved.
Understandably a clear systematic of faith will present difficulties to those who desire freedom of interpretation of faith and by those who give undo preference (near worship) to public figures and heroes regardless of the soundness of their teachings and practices concerning faith and morals.

Discipline within the Church cannot be effective without a sound systematic of doctrine.  It should be made clear that there have been bad popes in the history of the Church but that this has never resulted in the reversal of a primary Church teaching nor in a contradiction of prime teachings.  This however can only be understood through an enlightened grasp of a functional systematic of teachings and authorities.

It is not my position that the documents referred to are perfect or that they cannot be further developed.  I do believe that they can be used to develop a highly authoritative Church document which in the long term could unify all sincere Christians and be the instrumental cause for non-Christians to honestly consider the teachings of Christ and eventually join in the unified body of Christ.  NOTE: I believe there are many areas in which Catholic truths can be developed without in any way having them be diminished.  Theological advancement of teachings could resolve many current internal and denominational disputes.  This can only be accomplished by giving proper rank to Church teachings and associated authorities and then examining various teachings accordingly.  I believe that unity and justice will flow from a comprehendible presentation of an organized understanding of sources of truth when associated with reasoned obedience to authorized leadership.

"And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast,
and they will gather his elect from the four winds,
from one end of the heavens to the other." [Matthew 24:31]

"He appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles)
that they might be with him and he might send them forth to preach" [Mark 3:14]

(Jesus) said to them again, "Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me, so I send you." [John 20:21]

Acceptance of the authentic teachings of the Church, particularly of those of the Old Testament, has on different occasions been a cause of ridicule when used to support faith positions.  It is as if Jesus was in error when He stated, "and scripture cannot be set aside," (John 10:35) - Jesus had to be referring to Old Testament Scripture.  If the Old Testament is not to be believed in then there is no reason to believe in Jesus.  It is granted that Jesus did make specific changes in relation to the form of sacrifice, unclean foods, and so forth.

Definition of the Catholic Church        POPE, The Office of Peter

Understanding the Structure of Hierarchical Authority

Obligatory Disobedience to Unjust Civil and Religious Authorities

ASSOCIATED AUTHORITIES

The clerical state (deacons and priests – known as elders or presbyters) is given only to those who have been specifically selected and have been affirmed (commonly signified by the laying on of hands) by those authorized to elevate them to the indicated office (always by one who was in at least legal unison with a successor of one appointed by Jesus).

They presented these men to the apostles who prayed and laid hands on them.  [Acts 6:6] First deacons of the Church

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word with the imposition of hands of the presbyterate.  [1 Tim. 4:14]

Do not lay hands too readily on anyone, and do not share in another's sins.  Keep yourself pure.  [1 Tim. 5:22] Paul's instructions to the presbyter Timothy

For this reason, I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands. [2 Tim. 1:6] Paul speaking of Timothy's ordination at his hands

For this reason I left you in Crete so that you might set right what remains to be done and appoint presbyters in every town, as I directed you, [Titus 1:5] Conditions have been established in regard to those who are to hold clerical office at the hands of duly authorized men validly holding office.
