"Judge Not, that you be not judged." [Mt. 7:1 KJV]

The spiritual person, however, can judge everything but is not subject to judgment by anyone.  [1 Cor. 2:15]

Until so called Christians understand the difference between an innocent person and a guilty person, under God's condemnation, grave injustices, such as the execution of minister Paul Hill, will continue bringing upon a nation the wrath of God. – Justifiable Homicide

The cartoonist (Gamble), the publisher, editor, and all who agree with the above cartoon, in the Florida Times Union, if they do not repent will face judgement themselves for false judging of an innocent man.  They either do not acknowledge the scientific proof that the pre born are innocent human beings, or are too depraved to accept the legitimate concept of "Justifiable Homicide" in the defense of innocent neighbors.  The reasoning in relation to their error of judging –concerning the justifiable action of minister Paul Hill– and their misinterpretation of the commandment "Thou shall not kill," is developed below.

"Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged,
and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.
[Mt. 7:1-2]

"as you judge, so will you be judged" –
Unless one is well qualified to judge according to God's standards –having carefully studied Sacred Scripture with a real belief in and have sufficient love of God– one should expect to make false judgement with the consequence of eternal damnation.  Those not in the grace of God, the unqualified, and the poorly qualified should not judge spiritually as the consequence may not be revocable.
Types of judgement validly or invalidly applied :
    1. Conditional – If one does not repent they will eternally suffer the fires of Hell.
    2. Implied – When one fails to take a position or exercise fair judgement he is implying that the current condition or circumstance is acceptable. Such a person is accountable to the degree the event is not acceptable. Depending upon the gravity of the situation the individual may be judged as unacceptable for the Kingdom of Heaven. Neutrality is often condemnable.
      • So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of my mouth. [Rev. 3:16]
    3. Morally Required – In the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation) a priest must hear (or the equivalent) a penitents sins and make a judgement concerning whether or not he or she has sufficient realization of the consequence of sin and its further willful repetition, the willingness of making available restitution for sins committed, and if an acceptable motivation for confessing one's sins exists.  When a priest fails to exercise sound judgement and apply appropriate penances, he is guilty before the Lord for being an instrument of possible loss of salvation of the penitent.
      • "Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained." [John 20:23]
    4. Civilly Required – Fathers of families, business owners and supervisors, government officials - most particularly law makers and judges are required to make various types of judgements for the good of the family, business, and society at various levels. – Civil judgements often have moral consequences.

You shall not kill.  [Ex. 20:13]              Justified Killings Accepted in all 50 States

Rational beings understand that within the context of Sacred Scripture the commandment clearly refers to:  Do not murder, that is, the taking of the life of an innocent human being.

    • "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed." [Gn. 9:6]
(Murderers –intentional killers of the innocent– are to be put to death. Prior to the time this commandment was given, God had killed –caused the death (by flood) of– all but eight of the earth's inhabitants. All of those who had been associated with grave evils. God sets only good example.)
    • In the eyes of God the earth was corrupt and full of lawlessness. When God saw how corrupt the earth had become, since all mortals led depraved lives on earth, he said to Noah: "I have decided to put an end to all mortals on earth; the earth is full of lawlessness because of them. So I will destroy them and all life on earth. [Gn. 6:11ff]
    • The angels too, who did not keep to their own domain but deserted their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains, in gloom, for the judgment of the great day. Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. [Jude 1:6f Ref. 2 Pet. 2:4ff]
God  killed,  but  was  not  a  murderer  of  the  innocent.
God set good example to be followed, not bad example.

NOTE: the first usage of the word "kill" is found in Genesis 4:8 when Cain killed his brother Abel. Clearly what Cain did was murder – take the life of an innocent man. The first usage of the term "murder" is not found until Numbers 35:16, "If a man strikes another with an iron instrument and causes his death, he is a murderer and shall be put to death." The word murder did not come into usage until well after the writing of the Fifth Commandment of the Decalogue.
By simple Scriptural analysis, the concept is that "not kill" means "not murder." That murder –the willful killing of an innocent person from conception onward–  is the concept understood in the phrase, "shedding the blood of man."  The proper concept is clear to people of faith.

  • "You shall not kill." (contextually the word kill refers to murder – taking the life of an innocent person, that is, one not guilty of a crime which morally warrants a sentence of death, or is in the proximate act of perpetrating a crime against life, limb, or of property having significant value. NOTE: The possibility exists that such action may be acceptable immediately following an act to recover property of significant value, or, if there is reasonable expectation that human injury or loss of life may be perpetrated in the future by the offender. – Civil law commonly opposes some of the foregoing even though it generally approves of the murder of preborn human beings by the millions.) [Exodus 20:13]

"The innocent and the just you shall not put to death,
nor shall you acquit the guilty." [Ex. 23:7]

"Do you not know that we will judge angels?" [1 Cor. 6:3]

The meaning of the commandment "you shall not kill" is governed by the primary statement of Genesis 9:5-6. This teaching has been made more clear by contextual study of Scripture in regard to passages concerning the killing of guilty human persons, such as, Exodus 2:12; Exodus 22:2; Deuteronomy 19:5; 1 Ki. 18:40; etc. where no blood guilt is incurred.

OPINION:  No one should ever be found guilty of first degree murder who has been involved with the death of someone who can be proven morally guilty of an executable offense as prescribed in Old Testament law or a moral equivalent thereof.

Daniel said: "How you have grown evil with age! Now have your past sins come to term: passing unjust sentences, condemning the innocent, and freeing the guilty, although the Lord says, `The innocent and the just you shall not put to death.' " [Dan 13:52-53]

COMMENT:  With the coming of the final decades of the 20th Century the guilty often do not have to be acquitted as they are protected from prosecution by unjust laws written to protect them (preborn baby assassins). The innocent and the just (the defenders of the unborn) are tried and sentenced to prison or death.

"Thus says the LORD: Do what is right and just. Rescue the victim from the hand of his oppressor. Do not wrong or oppress the resident alien, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place." [Jer. 22:3]

But as for cowards, the unfaithful, the depraved, murderers, the unchaste,
sorcerers, idol-worshipers, and deceivers of every sort,
their lot is in the burning pool of fire and sulfur
,
which is the second death
." [Rev. 21:8]

According to their uncleanness and their transgressions I dealt with them, hiding my face from them. [Eze. 39:23-24]

If I say to the wicked man, You shall surely die; and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his wicked conduct so that he may live: that wicked man shall die for his sin, but I will hold you responsible for his death.  If, on the other hand, you have warned the wicked man, yet he has not turned away from his evil nor from his wicked conduct, then he shall die for his sin, but you shall save your life.
If a virtuous man turns away from virtue and does wrong when I place a stumbling block before him, he shall die.  He shall die for his sin, and his virtuous deeds shall not be remembered; but I will hold you responsible for his death if you did not warn him.  When, on the other hand, you have warned a virtuous man not to sin, and he has in fact not sinned, he shall surely live because of the warning, and you shall save your own life. [Ezekiel 3:18-21]

A child being comforted – by Brenda Cowan, April 2003

Zedekiah. . . also did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as Jehoiakim had done {idol worship – 2 Ki. 23:37 He did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as his forebears had done. [2 Ki. 24:4] and especially because of the innocent blood he shed, with which he filled Jerusalem, the LORD would not forgive}. The LORD'S anger befell Jerusalem and Judah till he cast them out from his presence. Thus Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
[25:1] In the tenth month of the ninth year of Zedekiah's reign, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and his whole army advanced against Jerusalem, encamped around it, and built siege walls on every side. The siege of the city continued until the eleventh year of Zedekiah. On the ninth day of the fourth month, when famine had gripped the city, and the people had no more bread, the city walls were breached. Then the king and all the soldiers left the city by night through the gate between the two walls which was near the king's garden. Since the Chaldeans had the city surrounded, they went in the direction of the Arabah. But the Chaldean army pursued the king and overtook him in the desert near Jericho, abandoned by his whole army.
[6] The king was therefore arrested and brought to Riblah to the king of Babylon, who pronounced sentence on him. He had Zedekiah's sons slain before his eyes. Then he blinded Zedekiah, bound him with fetters, and had him brought to Babylon.
[8] On the seventh day of the fifth month (this was in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan, captain of the bodyguard, came to Jerusalem as the representative of the king of Babylon. He burned the house of the LORD, the palace of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem; every large building was destroyed by fire. Then the Chaldean troops who were with the captain of the guard tore down the walls that surrounded Jerusalem.
[11] Then Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, led into exile the last of the people remaining in the city, and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the last of the artisans." [2 Ki. 24:18-25:11]

At 03:54 PM 9/9/2003 -0700, you wrote:
I write to you in good faith. My understandings are based upon the approach of life that God has put forth upon me and the yoke of it I carry. I believe when we fear secret societies and other mystic anti-christian groups, we must not be cowards and full of hate. My only problem with condemning groups is it seems I am making a judgement upon persons.
Individuals are required to make good judgments in life. We are to determine what is right or wrong in relation to ourselves and to those who may benefit from instruction or admonishment. If we condemn in our hearts then we are wrong. If we provisionally condemn with the understanding that it is a corrective or conditional statement, and subject to reversal if there is a reversal of conduct or position coupled with the asking for forgiveness, then it is considered medicinal condemnation.
I rather leave my judgement up to God, for I should bear no judgement, only discretion (a choice upon my own stature God puts upon me.) I say this because I hate the sin and sinful spirits and not the sinner.
Since sin and the sinner are not mutually exclusive both are hated with the provision that should sin appropriately be repented of then hate returns into love. Keep in mind that God does not send sin into Hell without the sinner attached to it. God does not send those He loves into eternal damnation, only those that He hates.
For there are many more victims than criminals in the world. The serpent is the true criminal and his fallen. I say this when we condemn homosexuals, third world occult's, and other pagan groups.
To the degree they live in culpable sin they require knowledge of their pending doom. Under natural law all have responsibility for sin to the degree they have usage of intellect to be determined good or evil.
People are people and are creations of God. And by Jesus's intervention we are provided with the gift of mercy.
We are to follow in the path that Jesus set. Jesus openly and frequently admonished sinners making it clear that if they did not repent they would suffer eternally. Jesus' mercy was most importantly revealed when He died to give faithful people the ability to be in His glorified presence in the next life. In this life He showed mercy to those who would either respond to mercy in a positive fashion, or to test the appropriateness of their response to mercy.
Remember the Apostles and Disciples (before they met Jesus) had sinned. So when we condemn the sinner we are not sharing the gifts of mercy.
Sinners are condemned according to their actions by their actions. Mere human words do not have the power to condemn or otherwise eternally judge. Following death Jesus judges and sends to eternal life or condemns to eternal death -- Hell. Human evaluation regarding condemnation may be either instructional (a good), or in the heart out of personal hatred coupled with a desire for vengeance indicating and unwillingness to forgive (an evil requiring repentance).
I don't rather mean to assume, however in weakness of human nature I am, that you condemn sinners, but I feel we must be aware satan is a real existence and deal appropriately as Scripture instructs us to do with the devil (conquering him in Christ.) I warn that people should not pit themselves against one another, for this is the sake of satan. After all he will be the divider and then come as the peace maker before God and try to build a lawless image of Christianity for his order.
In the gospels Jesus made it clear that He came not for peace but for division, to set father against son, etc. Jesus understands that good and evil are in opposition and that sinners will oppose those who do good. Jesus Himself was crucified for this very reason. He was hated by those focused upon this life rather than upon the values of the next.
On further, you have an article on voting. Let's recall (truly recall) that voting for the most part has come from civilized cultures as ancient Greece and Rome. Remember as well that Rome and Greece were in its' past pagan nations. Just because they had great achievements as architecture and art, doesn't mean they were just before God, for He dealt them their punishment. I do know God did appreciate the religious conviction of the Gentiles (not their idols, but their effort) and so He extended His mercy upon them in Christ's testimony to be given.
God did not appreciate their religious convictions but recognized that many had been led astray through the sins of their ancestors. Jesus primarily spent His time in instructing those who had at least the proper fundamentals of faith. He always recognized that all peoples were in need of instructions regarding faith in God and knew full well that His instructions were intended to convert all nations to truths that would turn them from their sinful ways. He did and still does desire that we be of single faith in the same sense that He and the Father are in perfect agreement and harmony.
However, this is my disappointment, voting was not religious nor does it focus on God and His Son (though peoples intentions seem so.) If voting does focus on God,
Voting should focus upon God but often does not.
then why does it seem when people vote they immediately return to their daily routine of life and forget the concerns of God (except on Sunday's or for the elderly and still only a few in our population.)?
They have not left their daily routine. Most are sinners before, during, and after voting.
So, I wonder how voting is authentic in our common faith in Christ upon our God. One might argue that voting is a gift from God, and I shall agree under that premise.
Faith is a gift of God given when honestly sought after. Any form of government can be just when a people acting through common faith act righteously before God accepting their responsibilities for installing and maintaining a just and Godly government. People of faith are the necessary ingredient for good government regardless of form. When God's people went astray they asked for and received a monarch. When this proved unsatisfactory other forms of government evolved. When faith and trust in God fails any form of unification is bound to fail.
But, this is my argument, when people vote and would like God to carry that vote out for what is our God's concern is like wagging our concerns of God from ourselves and making a duty upon a person or a group of persons (and perhaps this is why secret societies and occult groups have grown in the government.) Thus we turn to unfaithfulness in redemption and expect someone else to be our speaker to God in political action (whom to me seems more self centered than religious). I believe all events are known by God and the course of them of His control.
God placed men in control in this life and only intervenes when absolutely necessary for the eternal common good. We are here on trial to see how we will respond to good and evil.
People must realize we are being degraded by the past pagan practices that appeal to our modern day of life.

I am not one to truly critique (as I am no more than any other man in life), but I do have a lot of love for people.

We are to have love for the potential of people to one day be brothers and sisters of Christ, as we desire that we will be in eternal life. Everything we do should be geared toward this ultimate goal.
I love all as Christ loves us (to the point I try and try and try no matter what becomes of me.) I find your concerns as mine have been built. However, I find that one should neither lean to left nor to the right. And I find voting one of the routes of the wide and open path to error and sin. I am aggravated with politics and politicians because they lean to either the left or right and I don't see God-fearing people any more, just snobbery like the pharisee's and scribes of Jesus's days on earth.
One can learn from a stand made to the left or to the right. One who is in neutral has shut out the process leading to potential growth in faith. Jesus stated that He desired the holy to be as wily as the unholy in dealing with mankind. If this means motivational statements of condemnation, then so be it for thus some will grow in relationship to God.
