        During the lifetime of Mohammed major jihads had already commenced against peaceful Christians. Early converts (uneducated pagan tribesmen constantly at war among themselves) to the teachings of Mohammed ¹ went on a jihad rampage to convert everyone to the teachings of Mohammed (an illiterate without the ability to study and therefore properly understand Christian teachings. He redesigned Sacred Scripture using a scribe and called it the Koran. He made it conform to his own goals.). They gave the conquered a choice (strength of theological position was not a consideration), convert or die. Within a hundred years of the death of Mohammed, Islam had conquered the Middle East, Egypt, Northern Africa, most of Spain, much of France, the islands of the Mediterranean, parts of Greece, and other places. Prior to this time most of these areas had been Christian strongholds.

¹  Muhammadans – the early Muslims were pagans who had worshiped 360 gods of stone at the Ka ‘bah (Mecca's massive stone idol shrine –presently in Saudi Arabia– fifty feet high and nearly 40 feet square) with primary worship being centered upon a smooth black stone.
        The Ka ‘bah as the present day sanctuary of Allah, the supreme god of Islam (Muslims/Muhammadans), attracts pilgrims from all over world. They come to kiss, touch, or at least encircle the glistening smooth black stone that marks the location of the focus of Islamic prayer. This stone is said to have been given to Ishmael by the angel Gabriel, and set into the building by Abraham's own hands.
        It may be the stone referred to in Genesis 28:10-35:3; the stone that Jacob rested his head upon and had a dream of a stairway to Heaven and a communication with God. This stone was anointed by Jacob. At some later time this stone could have been transported to its current place of residence in Mecca (now part of Saudi Arabia) where it was given special honor in the house of the god of the gods of stone.
        The stone may also be no more than a meteorite that was seen as mystical by pagan idol worshippers and therefore given a place of honor among a multitude of idols created from the minds of men.

        A Jihad (holy war) is described as an all-round struggle which a Muslim should launch against evil in whatever form or shape it appears. In essence this includes anyone they disagree with on whatever grounds they can contrive. As was seen with the 1980-88 war between Iran (59 million) and Iraq (18 million), with approximately 1.5 million killed, Muslims have holy wars even with members of their own religion whom they contrive reasons to oppose.

        In theory wars are waged by Islamics with a view to securing liberty and freedom for those who are groaning under the oppression of heartless tyrants. It is the bounden duty of Muslims to alleviate their sufferings and create for them an atmosphere of peace and security. The Holy Qur'an elucidates this in the following verse:

"And what reason have you not to fight in the way of Allah and for the oppressed among men and women and children who say: Our Lord! take us forth from the town whereof the people are oppressors and grant us from Thee a friend and grant us from Thee a helper" (Surat 4:75).

        Declarations as to whom this passage applies is commonly left to highly trusted Muslim Imams and Ayatollahs. Their word (personal interpretations of the Koran) is often seen as law, and coupled with promises of special eternal reward –for those who die in their causes– they develop many followers willing to sacrifice their lives even to the point of taking their own lives (suicide) at the direction of their Allah's (the Muslims reference for Yahweh – God) teachers each of whom are considered to have a high degree of infallibility.

        While all Muslims may not be considered as being randomly violent, their history dictates that unless they officially become more reasonable in their approach to and association with other religions, they are not in the long term trustworthy. To aid non-Muslims to understand proper relationship with adherents of Islam the following has been said:

Islam advocates and pleads for tolerance wherever it is in the
minority; it advocates, implements and practices suppression
and violence wherever it is in the majority.

Surat 4:56 (As for) those who disbelieve in Our communications [Koranic teachings], We shall make them enter fire; so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, We will change them for other skins, that they may taste the chastisement; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise.

Surat 4.57 And (as for) those who believe and do good deeds [including the waging of war and terrorism against nonbelievers], We will make them enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them for ever; they shall have therefore pure mates, and We shall make them enter a dense shade.

From a Report by a pastor recently visiting Tanzania:

        "The goal for Islam is not only to plant mosques on every corner, but to influence the political life of the nation. Radicals hope, through proselytizing and polygamy, to shift the population balance. Once in control of high governmental positions and structures, they would assuredly seek to impose Sharia law. Here we have the potential for another Nigeria and Sudan in the very nascent stages if left unchecked."
        I remind you that the Koran urges believers to spread Islam by jihad and emigration. Due to the blindness of western governments, the latter method, EMIGRATION/IMMIGRATION, has been spectacularly successful in recent years...
        Therefore, be not surprised if among the millions of Muslims migrating to the west, there will be militant Muslims, who support al-Quaeda. News reports indicate that the al-Qa'eda, the group thought responsible for the recent outrages in the USA, have branches in 34 countries.

From a Letter to the Editor "Weekly Telegraph", U.K.

        "Jihad...is widely accepted as the Sixth Pillar [of Islam]. Verse 41, Chapter 9 of the Koran enjoins the faithful to 'Go forth and strive, with your goods and your person, in the cause of God.'  Even in the Prophet's time, the striving took the form of violence against non believers who refused to submit, with the sword as the symbol and instrument of Jihad.
        Islamic history is full of attempts by reformers to give wider interpretation to the hadith (tradition) and sharia (Islamic law) that go together with the Koran - only to be condemned as heretics by theologians whose minds remained trapped in the 8th century.
        They teach what amounts to a perversion of Islam; that our world is divided into the sphere of faith (dar-al-Islam) and the sphere of war (dar-al-harb) controlled by the enemies of Islam. Those in their care are told they have a sacred duty as mujahideen (strivers) to wage jihad against these enemies; and that their reward will come in the next world, since martyrdom provides a short cut to Paradise.
        At the present time, (1952) the hatred of the Moslem countries against the West is becoming a hatred against Christianity itself. Although the statesmen have not yet taken it into account, there is still grave danger that the temporal power of Islam may return and, with it, the menace that it may shake off a West which has ceased to be Christian, and affirm itself as a great anti-Christian world power. Moslem writers say, "When the locust swarms darken countries, they bear on their wings these Arabic words: 'We are God's host, each of us has ninety-nine eggs, and if we had a hundred we should lay waste the world, with all that is in it.'"

        "Fight those who believe not in Allah," says the Koran (sura 9:29). There are many passages in the Koran, the Muslim holy book, which lay out the rationalization for an Islamic "apostolate" of the sword. It is true that there are those that do not give these passages their most obvious interpretation. The problem is that this attitude is a-historical. It ignores nearly 1400 years of history and, for a religion that professes a literal adherence to a book, abstracts from the clearest meaning of such texts.

Additional quotations from the Koran (Qur'an), chapter (surat/sura/surah) and verse"

[4.74] Therefore let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world's life for the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward.
[4.76] Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Shaitan (evil spirit - Muslim demons that inhabit the earth, assume various forms, and exercise supernatural power). Fight therefore against the friends (disbelievers) of the Shaitan; surely the strategy of the Shaitan is weak.
[8.39] And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah; but if they desist, then surely Allah sees what they do.
[9.14] Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace, and assist you against them and heal the hearts of a believing people.
[9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.
[9.38] Surely the number of months with Allah is twelve months in Allah's ordinance since the day when He created the heavens and the earth, of these four being sacred; that is the right reckoning; therefore be not unjust to yourselves regarding them, and fight the polytheists (Christians are considered as polytheists as they believe in the Trinitarian God) all together as they fight you all together; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil [Christians]).
        The Qur'an rejects the concept of the "The Holy Trinity": [Surat (Chapter) 4.171] – "O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa (Jesus) son of Marium is only an apostle of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His apostles, and say not, Three. ²  Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one God; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector."
²  Christians believe in only one God, but the illiterate Mohammed was not capable of studying the Christian understanding of God. The term God in Christianity is both singular and collective but always one. Without the existence of each and all of the three persons of the collective trinitarian God there would be no creation and therefore no one in existence to reference the beings individually or collectively as God. Creation is a product of the unity –the oneness of goal– of all three persons of the trinity. An only entity would be without the sense of furtherance and would therefore be without motivation to create. There could be seen no purpose for creation.

[9.123] O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).
[48.16] Say to those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind: You shall soon be invited (to fight) against a people possessing mighty prowess; you will fight against them until they submit; then if you obey, Allah will grant you a good reward; and if you turn back as you turned back before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.

Bin Laden thanked Allah for the events of September 11th.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden congratulated the people who carried out the deadly terrorist strikes in the United States, but denied Wednesday that he was involved, a Palestinian journalist said.

        "Osama bin Laden thanked Almighty Allah and bowed before him when he heard this news," Jamal Ismail, Abu Dhabi Television's bureau chief in Islamabad, said, quoting a close aide of bin Laden's. Ismail said the aide, whom he wouldn't identify by name, called him early Wednesday on a satellite telephone from a hide-out in Afghanistan (26 million).
        Bin Laden praised the people who carried out the attacks in Washington and New York, Ismail said, quoting the aide. "But he had no information or knowledge about the attack" ahead of time, Ismail said.

        Tolerance of others religious beliefs and openness to proselytization is seen as the key to peace. A true religion never needs to fear intermingling with the beliefs of others religions. Muslim countries if they sincerely believed in the truth of the Koran would be open to public Christian worship and allow evangelization in the same manner as Muslims are readily permitted to evangelize in Christian countries.

CRUSADES: It should be noted that the crusades, beginning in the 11th century, were primarily a result of contemporary intolerance of Muslim rulers who had begun prohibiting Christian pilgrimages to the Holy Land; something their Muslim predecessors had always allowed. Note: Following the capture of Jerusalem by the crusaders in 1099, the Dome of the Rock was converted to a Christian shrine and named Templum Domini (meaning Temple of the Lord).

        If the followers of the Koran believe that innocent civilians may not be attacked then those who claim to be Muslims and harm innocent civilians are not true followers of the Koran and therefore should be subject to aggression by the true followers of Islam (believers in peace). Muslims should directly oppose (jihad against), or at least excommunicate/excoriate/shun offenders.

        All Muslims and those of Muslim heritage should either be made to take the following oath, or, they must swear that the Muslim belief in the teachings of the Koran are false and that Mohammed was a false prophet. The oath must be a public statement, signed, and duly recorded.

OATH:

        I swear by Allah, that I am against terrorism and that all forms of terrorism are against the teachings of Islam. I condemn Koranic schools and leaders that teach or otherwise promote terrorism. I profess this with Allah as my witness and in the belief that eternal separation from the good of Allah will be my just reward if I fail to report any person or communication, that supports any form of terrorism, to local or national civil government authorities.
        I further swear by Allah that I am against any who oppose religious freedom except for those who worship Satan or approve of Satanic activities such as sodomy, abortion, adultery, drug growing, producing, transporting and selling, and torturing or other maltreatment of prisoners.
        Insha' Allah (God willing) may all who fail to immediately report plans of terrorists, war seekers, and those in immoral trade –whether it be drugs or via kidnaping– to civil authorities be brought to a cruel end.
        Insha' Allah may one of the Holy Shrines of Islam be destroyed if I break my oath and may such evil be upon my head and the heads of the members of my immediate family and other near relatives.
"There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah"

The Sacred Shrines:

Mecca – this mosque contains the polished black stone (rock) of the Kaaba. The black stone (a broken house of a former pagan god) is now encased in silver to hold it together as it is badly cracked. Originally the Kaaba was a place for worship of 360 pagan gods encased in stone. (The pagan belief was that the stone idols were the houses of their gods.) The worshipers of Al'Uzza, literally 'the strong one' who is the full moon and the mother aspect of the trinitarian moon goddess, circled the black stone seven times. The pagan practice of circling the stone seven times has been retained by Muslims. This practice is part of the fifth pillar of Islam called the Hajj. The Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca in the 12th Islamic month, which all healthy Muslims should try to make at least once in their lifetime. During this time pilgrims circle the Kaaba seven times.

Medina – this was the first Muslim mosque. It was built by Mohammed and became his burial place. It is Islam's second holiest shrine after Mecca.

Jerusalem – Al Aqsa [the farthest mosque] is Islam's third holiest shrine (Original construction completed in 705AD. Mohammed Mustafa was born in 570 A.D. - died 632 A.D. The writing of the Koran was completed in 650 A.D.). According to the Muslim holy book, the Quran, Prophet Mohammed flew through the night on a winged creature that was half-bird, half-horse to occupied Jerusalem, where he led all of God's messengers in prayer at the site where Al Aqsa now stands. Muslims now believe that the creature, known as Al Buraq or Lightning, took Mohammed to heaven, where he had his first communion with Allah.
        Justinian I (527-565) also added to the beauty of the city by many splendid buildings. Of these the most famous was a great basilica dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary (the most highly honored woman of Islam) with a house for pilgrims attached. It stood in the middle of the city, but has now completely disappeared. He also built another great church of the Blessed Virgin at the southern end of the old Temple area (now the location of the Al-aqsa Mosque).

Jerusalem – The Dome of the Rock, a.k.a. the Mosque of Omar, was built at the direction of the Caliph ‘Adb al-Malik, in A.D. 691, who commissioned Christian architects to build a shrine over the large outcropping of bedrock on the site where Solomon's Temple stood.
        The Dome of the Rock was built to call Christians to accept Islam and to recognize the true place of Jesus, considered as a prophet but not the Son of God, in the plan of God. Apparently the original purpose of the Islamic shrine was to emphasize the superiority of Islam over Christianity. The Dome of the Rock was built to proclaim the central tenets of Islam: the unity of God and the finality of Mohammed's role as God's prophet. It is a statement, in most tangible form, that proclaimed that the Arab conquest of what had been a Christian city for four hundred years had more than political consequences. It transformed Jerusalem into an Islamic city that was to proclaim the message of Mohammed to the world.
        Because the structure was built on a site that rabbinic tradition associated with Abraham, it also serves to coopt the patriarch for the new faith. Of course, the Dome of the Rock stands on the place where Solomon's temple once stood. The Muslim shrine then implies that Islam has also replaced Judaism. Apparently, then, the original purpose of the Dome of the Rock was to emphasize the superiority of Islam over both Judaism and Christianity. The Dome of the Rock came to symbolize a transformation of Jerusalem. What was a Jewish city, then a Christian city became a Muslim city.
        The rock from which it is said that the prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven is now the centrepiece of the Dome of the Rock. However, about A.D. 1200, Muslims built another smaller structure called the "Dome of the Ascension" next to the Dome of the Rock. Obviously, its builders did not consider the Dome of the Rock as having been built over the place of Mohammed's ascension.
        The present buildings of Al Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock were completed by Islamic ruler Abdel Malik in 1033.

Are countries throughout the world deserving of terrorism?

Yes!  But, the innocent people of any country are not.

        It seems probable with all of the aid going to Afghanistan that other poor nations will soon seek to emulate the activities attributed to Osama ben Laden hoping thereby to also receive millions in aid.

COMMENTS:
        Concerning recent reference to anti-abortion activists on "America's Most Wanted." Two men were specially selected as being terrorists and inserted into a presentation about 22 Muslim terrorists on President Bush's most wanted list. Both of these men were and are wanted for perceived acts of terrorism against practicing murderers.
        Active abortion opponents are not terrorists if they only oppose abortion murderers and accomplices. NOTE: Any who are in the zone of a facility operated or occupied by an abortionist should be considered as being in harms way, and, government is obligated to see to it that these zones are posted.
        Defenders of innocent human life are at least as meritorious in the sight of God as are military personnel who are fighting a just war against true terrorism, particularly when it is randomized as has been the activities of Osama ben Laden, his minions, and ilk. The failure to distinguish between the evil of abortion and the activities of randomized terrorism to achieve what might be seen as a just goal is high on the list of reasons why God permits acts of massive terrorism to succeed. If the uncountable millions of murdered preborn human beings were able to give an account of the terrorism they had suffered in the womb the world would shriek in horror. If one says the unborn are not persons then it must be proven that there is no life in the womb. Arguments concerning the existence or nonexistence of the human spirit are not pertinent as the spirit does not consist of matter and therefore is not scientifically measurable. A mother only gives shelter, nourishment, and warmth to the child in her womb. A child of a surrogate mother does not have the genetics of the carrier woman.
        Public officials and members of organizations that protect, justify, or promote abortion should be seen as potential subjects of defensive action, favoring the unborn, along with all direct participants in abortion. Such should be understood as accomplices. The properties of such individuals and organizations should be posted as potential war zones.
        Abortion facilities could include not only the offices and facilitators of abortion doctors, but also those of researchers that produce or work with fertilized ovum, including those who practice in vitro fertilization. Those who participate in any form of human cloning could be seen as subject to ban. All of the foregoing persons and facilities could be seen as being subject to war zone activities and restrictions. Reasonable perimeters of such war zones could approximate 100 yards from the edge of such properties.
        Abortionists and those supporting abortions are deserving, as terrorists, of being terrorized.
